Maybelline LE Brightside palette review + look

This palette is still around at Rite Aid, but I haven't seen it in a Walgreens for awhile. I got it for $7.49 at Rite Aid in June in LA. I love all the colors, they are so summery and pretty! The pans are a bit small but not so much so that it's difficult to work with them. There are 8 colors that work together beautifully, There are shimmers, mattes and some satiny ones. The mattes have the best pigmentation and the shimmers the worst. They are all decent but to get the most out of them I suggest packing the colors on over a primer and base. Blending seems to rub out most of the vibrancy too. Kinda high maintenance, personally I think the colors are worth it.

(Left to right, color's description based on what they look like applied) Satiny sparkly light blue, Shimmer grass green, Matte orangey coral, Shimmer lime green, Shimmer cream with gold shimmer, Shimmer coral with gold shimmer, Satiny butter yellow with sparkles, and Matte bright blue.

These are swatched dry on bare skin with a swiping motion, so you can imagine they're much brighter when applied "patting" over a base.

This look was done using the bottom two left shimmer shades, cream and coral, with Prestige brown eyeliner and L'oreal Double Extend black mascara. Cream shade is over the whole eyelid and up to browbone with the coral shade in the crease and outer V. This was done with brushes and a swiping motion over ELF eyelid primer. I'd like to try it again over an additional base and packing the color on to see if the colors will pop more. These colors are great daytime colors for blue and green eyes. It makes them POP like crazy!
