Happy BIrthday to me! EOTD

Okay, okay... My Birthday was over a month ago (21st birthday on the 21st! WOOT) But I really like this look so I'm gonna share it! It was done with the Femme Fatale Valentine's Day Collection for 2012.

The pictures are pretty bad, my camera died a while ago and I've been using my phone since then. Usually I think they come out pretty good, I ran out of light though and had to use the flash for these :(

Femme Fatale Friday! A Prettymaking inspired look

Ive been trying to mix up my makeup as of late, and try some new placements. When I saw this gorgeous green look by the fabulous Mandy from Prettymaking I knew I had to try it! It doesn't hurt that she included a step by step guide to achieve the same look lol.

For my version I started with ELF eyelid primer, NYX JEP in Cottage Cheese and Pure Gold. As usual I used WnW Brulee on my browbone, then applied Femme Fatale Archangel as the off center color, FFC Heroic around Archangel, FFC Haunt in the inner and outer corners and slightly up into the crease, and FFC Spirit Bond to deepen the very outer corner. I then mirrored the same placement down on my lower lashline/lower lid area.To finish the look I lined my eyes with WnW ColorIcon black liner, Maybelline Lash Stiletto liquid liner and Maybelline Lots of Lashes.

I'm sorry for the crappy pictures, my camera died and I've been using my phone :(

Femme Fatale Friday! My latest order swatched!

A couple weeks ago I placed my third order with Femme Fatale Cosmetics, and like the times before, I received everything orderly and within a week! Which I think is awesome since its coming all the way from Australia. Sophie is running a top notch company, FFC is quickly becoming one of my absolute favorites to order from.

Descriptions:

Moonstone: "A sheer white shade with a soft blue duochrome shine and sparkles." The duochrome is so intense its unbelievable! As much as I love the Darling Girl Rainbow Brite 'Buddy Blue' it looks kinda weak next to Moonstone.
Archangel: "A translucent yellow-toned ivory eye shadow complimented violet duochrome."
Heroic: "A soft copper-tinged peach based shadow, highlighted by an incredible golden shimmer." Looks like a pale, peachy gold to me.
Frozen Flame: "A pale amber orange with peachy tones, highlighted by a subtle blue shimmer."
Phantasm: "A pale purple with violet tones and copper orange shimmer."
Faerie Fire: "A soft lavender pink with cool undertones, highlighted by a electric lime gold sparkles."
Hallowed Ground: "A pale asparagus green with stunning red shimmer."
Moonglow: "A pale columbia blue with a prominent golden duochrome and subtle pink shimmer."
Sunfire: "A sweet peachy pink with coral tones and a striking copper gold shine. Not to be missed!"
Shadowdance: "A cool grey with bluish undertones and a scattering of subtle blue and pink sparkles."
Rampage: "A vivid copper red shimmer over a burnt umber base."
Spirit Bond: "A deep midnight blue with strong purple undertones and a shimmery golden finish." I see more green than gold in the shift.
Crusader: "A vivid saffron yellow eye shadow complimented by a scattering of gold and copper sparkles."
Forever Lovely Rose was limited edition for Valentines day 2011.
Rebel: "It is a muted thulian pink duochrome shade with violet sparkles. Rebel is a soft and lightweight blush of which the colour can be built up to your liking." Apparently this is a blush lol, I had no idea so I swatched it like an eyeshadow.

Femme Fatale Friday! Archangel and Smokebomb

I was inspired by a look I found on Phyrra's pinterest, her post is here.

I made mine less smokey as I wanted Archangel to be the main focus. Unfortunately I used a sample of Sephora brand Perfecting Eye Primer, and while it felt nice and kept my eyeshadow from creasing, it didn't make the colors vibrant like my favorite $1 ELF eyelid primer does.

Anyways! I applied the Sephora primer then patted on Femme Fatale Archangel on the lid. I used a nameless matte, taupish-grey by ELF in the crease and FFC Smokebomb to deepen the outer corner. Black mascara, eyeliner, and MUFE lashes to finish the eye look.

ELF tinted moisturizer in Porcelain with Almay Clear Complexion Concealor in Light. And for my lips I tried out MAC Creme Cup.

Darling Girl "I Wanna Be Sedated" smokey purple and taupe look!

Darling Girl I Wanna Be Sedated is soooooo beautiful. Pictures don't even begin to capture all the complexities and depth this eyeshadow has. The best way I can explain it is as a dirty maroon/brown with gold shimmer that shifts gold to green depending on the angle. As my primer and base, I used Darling Girl Glitter Glue. For placement I put I wanna be Sedated on the inner third of my eyelid. Pairing it with DG Be Mine on the middle third, Femme Fatale Cosmetics Smokebomb on the outer third and Wet n Wild matte nude to highlight the browbone and inner corner. I wasn't happy with the level of sparkle, so I added Rimmel Glitter Eyeshadow Pencil in Stardust on top of the matte nude. To finish it off, my winged liner is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. For my cheeks I used DG Boy Crazy blush, it's perfect if you want a subtle shimmer in a neutral color that won't compete with your dark smokey eye. DG Goldfinger hologloss is the perfect understated, golden, sparkly lip.

2 coats of China Glaze Side Saddle.
For this mani I used one coat of basecoat, two coats of China Glaze Side Saddle, one coat of OPI Pearl of Wisdom and one coat of OPI Glitter Bit of Music. All photos were taken in window light.

Dramatic Purple look

I've been cropping photos like a mad woman so while we're in LA I'll have pictures to post! This is a look from a few weeks ago.

I'm wearing:
ELF eyelid primer
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
DG Corpse Candle on inner corner
Femme Fatale Space Cow on lid
Glamour Doll Eyes Stellar in outer corner and crease
DG Vixen on lower lashline
Evil Shades blush in Pouty
Evil Shades lipstick in Last Dance

Zoya Pinta is a dark purple creme. I'd say it's somewhere in between the two pictures but much more red toned. As always great application and wear time. 1 basecoat and 2 color. No topcoat.
