Wet n Wild Spoiled nail polish Ants In My Pants

Just a quick mani from around Halloween time. This is basecoat, 2 coats of China Glaze Velvet Bow, 1 coat of Spoiled Ants In My Pants (AIMP) and topcoat. I believe I only used one coat of topcoat for these pictures. AIMP is a repromote of last years limited edition Wet n Wild fast dry collection for Halloween called Behind Closed Doors. It's also a dupe of Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Red Slipper nail polish.

And this is 2 coats of China Glaze Velvet Bow before adding Spoiled AIMP.

Toxid-Lotus Challenge: My Little Pony

I was born in '91 and grew up knowing what My Little Pony was, but I never owned any dolls or watched the tv show. A few months ago I some how managed to end up watching a new episode early one morning. It was cute, a little silly and filled with girl power. Totally up my alley. While I haven't been converted into a die hard Pony fan (never really did like horses...) I have a new found respect for the adorably girly My Little Ponies. I took a quiz on the Hasbro website that told me my answers best coincided with Rarity.

I really love the depth her hair has, how it transitions from cool blue toned purple to warm red toned purple. That's where my inspiration came from.

I Used:
ELF eyelid primer
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
Wet n Wild matte nude on browbone
Darling Girl Indigo on inner corner, lower lashline and below eyebrow
Meow Cosmetics Fairy on the inner third of lid
Meow Nutcracker on middle third
Meow Vision on outer Third
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper on upper lashline
Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara in Classic Black

The Meow eyeshadows are a set from the holiday collection Sugarplums. The pictures don't really show the varying shades of purple. Fairy is a warm and very red toned purple. Nutcracker is a neutral medium purple leaning neither red nor blue. Vision is a cool very blue toned purple, I'd go so far as to say it's a blurple.

This is Zoya "Julieanne" I've seen it spelled several different ways, but this is what my bottle says on the bottom. It's a super pretty purple glass fleck in a smoky base with a subtle gold to silvery green duochrome. But that's not all! The glass fleck itself is a duochrome going from reddish almost magenta-purple to neutral medium purple and a darker blurple purple color. It's hard to see all the shades in pictures, the bottle shows it better.

Darling Girl Cosmetics Christmas look

This look was done with Donner from the Darling Deer holiday collection by Darling Girl Cosmetics. And Berry Merry blush from the same collection. That's all I'm wearing aside from WnW matte nude on the browbone and matte white on the inner corner, Kat Von D Tattoo liner in Trooper and Maybelline Great Lash "Lots of Lashes".

The blush doesn't show up in my pictures for some reason...

Darling Girl Christmas/Holiday collection swatches

This post is of the Darling Deer collection. Everything was swatched over face primer and patted on with an eyeshadow brush. I'll have the lip swatch post up next.

Dasher: "Putty grey (almost taupe) pearl with subtle flashes of purple iridescence."
Blitzen: "Kind of golden peach shade, but when swatched he's really a sheer violet pearl with loads of gold iridescence." I see a shimmery yellowy/peachy base with pale violet shift.
Donner: "golden beige pearl with a subtle blue flash."
Prancer: "Olive green with a hint of violet shift and gorgeous contrasting blue shimmers."
Rudolph: "A grey/green taupe with red flash." More of a brownish taupe with pink sparkles to me.
Cupid: "Lilac pink with monochromatic pink 'diamond dust' glitter."
Comet: "Matte wine base with a strong aqua/green shift and pink shimmers."
Dancer: "Bold deep gemstone green with rainbow sparkles." I consider this to be a teal.
Vixen: "Brazen blue based purple ribboned with pink, green and lavender sparkles."

Berry Merry Blush: "Mauve pink with a very subtle purple shift." More of a pinkish-violet shift to me.
White Christmas: " Iridescent white with a slight blue cast." I see dark blue glitter too.

Reindeer Kisses: "Iridescent holo, red, pink with a touch of black for depth." Gorgeous!
Jingle Bells: "A blend of differing shades of gold and a little holo glitter to give a little extra sparkle."
Holly Jolly Holo Gloss: "A pigmented true red loaded with color shifting glitter that shifts from gold, green to blue. Predominantly gold, green to my eyes."
Ghouls Gone Wild lip jelly (from Darling Ghoul collection): "A sheer gloss with green and pink shift and loaded with holographic micro-glitter." Gorgeous green shift!
Snow Angel lip jelly: "Loaded with pink, holographic and color shifting natural glitters." Mine is a little frosty looking because I asked Susan to add red shift, If you order from the website it won't have red shift like mine and will have a clear base.

Boy Crazy blush (free sample): "An earthy mauve with a hint of red duochrome." It looks like a pinkish-gold shift to me...
Pixi Purple (free sample): "reddish purple with subtle green iridescence." I see more of a mauvey purple with green tinted silver shift.
Dragon's Breath (my gift with purchase): "A sheer black base with gold shift and green/gold diamond dust glitter." The base looks like blackened green on mine. But maybe the old GWP Dragon's Breath isn't the same as the new one on the website.
