Sinful Colors Nirvana Mani

A few days ago I posted a manicure using Sinful Colors Nirvana as a base coat for L'Oreal Temptress Power. Today I have swatches of Nirvana by itself! The sunlight picture is much too warm brown, the other two pictures are more accurate. I believe this was 2 coats, though it may have been one thick coat since Sinful's cremes usually have nice formulas.

Sinful Colors splatter mani

Yet again, here is an old mani from several months ago. I tried doing a splatter mani that was so popular for a while. I used 2 coats of Wet n Wild white creme as the base and splattered Sinful Colors Summer Peach, Neon Melon and a no name sheer, neon pink from Hot Topic.

NTMS! Black and White Challenge look

This week on the Facebook group Never Too Much Sparkle the theme was black and white make up looks. This is the look I came up with. It was inspired by a couple different looks from Eyegraffiti.

I Used:
Wet n Wild matte nude on browbone
WnW matte white on inner corner
Shimmery white from Kat Von D Metal Orchestra palette on inner half of lid
Sweet Treat Cosmetics Buttercream on outer half of lid
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper on crease with black nail art rhinestones

These are my black and white nails inspired by Deuce Beauties. I used 1 coat of basecoat, 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black with WnW White Creme for the stripes. Topped with a coat of OPI Topcoat.

Sinful colors "Open Seas" review + swatch

While in LA I got Sinful Colors "Open Seas" from the Adventure Island summer collection. It's pretty obvious that SC copied OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean summer collection, which I find really funny and kinda awesome lol. I wasn't crazy about the OPI Pirate collection, or the whole "grayed/murky/dirty" colors concept. The only one that interested me was "Mermaids Tears". But not interesting enough to pay $8.50 a bottle. I've seen photos and read reviews comparing SC "Open Seas" to OPI "Mermaid Tears" and feel comfortable saying they are dupes. I can't attest for OPI's formula but SC's is nice and smooth, slightly thick, opaque in 2 coats, has your basic polish brush and dries faster than every OPI I've tried. And I'm impressed by how glossy it dries! Overall I <3 SC and Open Seas is really neat. After wearing it for a little bit it's grown on me, I might need to look at the other colors now lol!

My pictures didn't come out right, they show it as more of a turquoise than grayish green. The bottle picture is much more accurate, but is a touch too blueish.

Massive Haul!

Yesterday we got back from spending three weeks in Los Angeles with my family. Shopping where my parents live is awesome because the stores are bigger and have nicely stocked makeup sections. The Rite Aid there is also really great at getting seasonal limited edition displays.

First up is Rite Aid!

Signiture Vanillas Cherry shower gel and Signiture Vanillas Berry fragrance mist.

And Ulta!

(Left to right, top to bottom) Proclaim Argan Oil intense hydrating masque, Maybelline waterproof Lash Stiletto mascara, Maybelline Eyestudio Color Explosion "Blue Blowout" and NYX Glitter Mania "Disco Ball".
