Simple Sunday: Darling Girl Jeweled Taupe

Today I was thinking about how on days when I don't have time to do complex looks, or it's not appropriate to wear bright colors, I tend to not wear any makeup at all. There's nothing wrong with not wearing makeup (I don't wear it 75% of the time) but I'd still like to wear something for that little *oomph* makeup gives to your outfit and confidence. Sundays are going to be reserved for simple, easy, natural(ish) looks.

I recently met Marz' cousin when he came to visit while touring the California coast with his band. I try not to scare off future family members with crazy makeup the first time we meet, so I went with a shimmery, subdued look focused around my new love; Revlon Lip Butter in Gumdrop.

I Used:
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
 WnW matte nude on browbone
DGC Jeweled Taupe all over lid
WnW matte white in inner corner
Evil Shades Dreamspeaker on lower lashline
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
Maybelline mascara
Jardana Purple eyeliner to fill in brows
 Revlon Lip Butter in Gumdrop

I'm hoping to do a Simple Sunday look every week. I'm curious what your guys' interpretation on "simple" is? A classic look? Looking like you're not wearing makeup? Only using a few colors?

St. Patty's Day look with Persephone Minerals!

I'm way behind on posts so this will be quick. I wore this look for dinner on St. Patty's Day, we had corned beef and cabbage and potatoes. My Irish heart was all a flutter! For some reason the placement or colors of this look remind me of something The Makeup Zombie Wendi would wear.

Anywayyy I used:
Darling Girl Cosmetics Glitter Glue
DGC Patty O'Green on inner corner
WnW matte green on inner half
Persephone minerals Spirit Realm on outer half
PM Smoke on outer corner, lower lashline and lightly in crease
Jordana Purple eyeliner to fill in brows
Evil Shades blush in Ravishing
DGC lip gloss Planet X

As you can see I am no longer blonde! I love the purple so much. EEEeeee!!!
My sister chopped off 6 inches and dyed it with L'oreal Feria Midnight Ruby and underneath with Manic Panic Ultra Violet. Looks nothing like I had planned but love it all the same :)

Valentine's Day Evil Shades look

This is the look I wore for our Valentine's Day family dinner. It's an updated version of a look I wore for Marz' birthday last year.

I Used:
Elf eyelid primer
Darling Girl glitter glue
Evil Shades frosty's intervention in inner corner and browbone, death by fruitcake on inner half of lid, dreamspeaker on outer half of lid, and dark arts in outer V and crease.
Evil Shades curiosity blush
Too Faced sparkler glamor gloss in violet vapor.

Dramatic Purple look

I've been cropping photos like a mad woman so while we're in LA I'll have pictures to post! This is a look from a few weeks ago.

I'm wearing:
ELF eyelid primer
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
DG Corpse Candle on inner corner
Femme Fatale Space Cow on lid
Glamour Doll Eyes Stellar in outer corner and crease
DG Vixen on lower lashline
Evil Shades blush in Pouty
Evil Shades lipstick in Last Dance

Zoya Pinta is a dark purple creme. I'd say it's somewhere in between the two pictures but much more red toned. As always great application and wear time. 1 basecoat and 2 color. No topcoat.

NTMS! Green with Envy look

This week on Never Too Much Sparkle! the challenge look was Green with Envy. I used Meow cosmetics for this whole look.

For the eyes I used all Meow Cosmetics
Inner corner: Spectre veil/glow powder
Inner lid: Aruba from Caribbean collection
Outer lid: Pestilence from Four Horsemen collection
Crease and lower lashline: Witch from Dance of Death collection
Liquid liner: Maybelline Line Stiletto in black
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Volume

Except for Aruba these are all Halloween collections and won't be available until October.

Pestilence is so gorgeous! look at the teal duochrome! It's definitely noticeable, but since my look is all greens it's hard to pick out the teal shift in photos.

Sunlight to see the pretty sparkles!

For blush I used Meow Ballerina from the Sugarplum collection for Christmas. When I went on the site it was still available, I doubt it will be there much longer though. Lips are Evil Shades Deviant Lipstick in Devious Virtue.

For my nails I did 1 coat of basecoat, 2 coats of China Glaze Glittering Garland from the 2011 Holiday collection "Let It Snow" and 1 coat of topcoat.

This last pic I added OPI Glitter Bit of Music topcoat to bring out more of the gold sparkle.
